KS LCMS:

Together We Pray for Lent and Easter

Post date: Feb 21, 2021 11:34:19 PM

February 17, 2021 through April 7, 2021

As the coronavirus continues to affect daily life, we continue to pray! As a follow-up to our fall prayer campaign, we’ve assembled a new collection of “Together We Pray” prayers and verses for Lent and Easter.

The prayers begin on Ash Wednesday, February 17, in conjunction with the Kansas District Day of Repentance—a day to pray, reflect, repent, and give to those in need. The prayers continue for 50 days, wrapping up on April 7. We invite you to pray along and share the prayers with others (e.g., family members, college students, friends, coworkers).

We’ve prepared several versions of the prayers, including an editable large booklet (which can be run on ledger paper), an editable small booklet (for letter paper), and a PDF file. (A font note: The booklets use LSBSymbol in the Litany; if you need that font, you can download it here.)

“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chron. 7:14).

If you’re on Facebook, you can find the prayers on the Kansas District page (@kslcms).

Take a minute or two each day to join your fellow Kansans in prayer, with the confidence that He will hear us!
